Alcaidesa Beach

Alcaidesa Beach is a residential and commercial resort located at the western end of the Costa del Sol. Alcaidesa Beach is a wonderful location, with splendid views over the hills down towards the Mediterranean Sea.

The Playa Hacienda is the 4 km long beach to the west of Alcaidea, extending towards the town of La Linea. The beach is very quiet all year round, ideal for those who seek peace. There are no facilities.

Playa Alcaidesa is the beach in front of the urbanization. At this beach there are facilities like toilets, lifeguards, sun beds and a chiringuito for your bites and drinks. The urbanization has a few cafes and shops. The beach is popular during the season, but when you prefer a quieter spot walk westwards to the Playa Hacienda.

The Playa Torrecarbonera is situated near the Punta Mala headland where the lighthouse is located. This beach is 1.3 km long and about 50 meters wide divided into several coves. The Torre de Carbonera, is a reconstruction of an old tower from the 16th century.

There are no facilities at the beach, only when you walk to the east end of Playa Alcaidesa there is a shower, toilets and lifeguard huts. It is quiet most of the year and quite busy on summer weekends. The beach is used by naturists.

Playa Guadalquiton is a 5 km long beach in front of a private estate located between Sotogrande and Alcaidesa. This beach is very isolated and one of the quietest in Andalucia. A real nice place for those who seek seclusion. There are no facilities. It got its name from the small river that crosses the beach.
