What you should see is the Las Ramblas, the 1 km long boulevard running from Port Vell to the Plaça de Caralunya. Here you will find a mix of street performers, theaters, museums and cafes.

For beach lovers, Barcelona has miles of sandy beach with a beautiful blue sea. Enjoy the sun on the Barceloneta beach, and take a bite and a drink at one of the many chiringuitos.

There are many interesting museums, galleries and exhibitions in Barcelona; it's hard to start somewhere. The one you should definitely visit is the Picasso Museum, the National Art Museum of Catalunya, the Historical Museum and the FC Barcelona Football Museum.

The famous Sagrada Familia should certainly not fail on the list of buildings, "that you should visit." One of the masterpieces of Antoni Gaudi. The church is a popular tourist attraction. Construction started in 1882 and is still continuing. Certain parts of the church are already so compromised that renovation is necessary. Construction progresses so slowly, because the finances come entirely from donations and entrance fees.
