There are all kinds of water sport activities and a water park, you can try karting and there is one of Europe's most exciting theme parks. Salou is also an excellent base for excursions to the surrounding countryside and sightseeing trips to historic Tarragona.

The promenade of Salou has beautiful gardens, parks and fountains which make your walks livelier; during the evenings you can have fun in the bars, pubs, nightclubs and restaurants. There is plenty of choice of souvenir and fashion shops in Salou and if this does not satisfy your taste than you can take the train to Barcelona, to go shopping there. Every Monday there is a flea market in Salou in the old town.

PortAventura is a huge amusement park based on Bush Gardens in Florida. The park is divided into five worlds: the Far West, Mediterranae, Mexico, China and Polynesia. The park is open daily from 10:00 to midnight, except from 7 January until late March.
