Santa Eulària des Riu

Santa Eulària des Riu is a place on the island of Ibiza in the Spanish province of Balearic Islands. It is the largest and most important town on the east coast of the island.

Santa Eulària has a beautiful coastline that consists of cliffs, coves, beaches and small islands. There are many orchards and forests.

Santa Eulària is a beautiful beach town with a promenade with palm trees. Water sports for all tastes like water skiing, windsurfing, parasailing, kayaking and diving. There are many shops, bars and restaurants. The city also has an extensive marina.

The church of Santa Eulària was built in the 16th century and served as fortification against the raids of pirates. In later centuries guns were placed on the tower. After the ruling days of the pirates were over, the church was still significantly increased.

The Ethnographic Museum can be found in the Casa Ros house. In a beautiful traditional house with an extensive exhibition of tools, objects and clothing from the rural life of Ibiza.

Even Santa Gertrudis de Fruitera is a charming village that belongs to the Santa Eulària community, is worth a visit.

This village is situated around a square with a cute white church dating from the 18th century. It is a popular area for horse lovers. There is an auction where you can find everything and there are lots of bars and restaurants.

San Carlos is a quiet village where many artists have settled. The famous hippy market Las Dalias takes place here.
